FedEx Building
Piedmont Triad International Airport

The new FedEx Building at the Piedmont Triad International Airport is scheduled to open in June 2009. The contractor is Kajima and the concrete finisher is Ace/Avant.

Honda Aircraft

The Honda Jet 1st phase in Greensboro is complete. Miles McClellan was the general contractor with JMW Concrete Construction of Burlington as the concrete contractor. With the special mix requirements and intense quality control at site by Chandler Concrete, JMW received a Golden Trowel Award for his super-flat floors. This prestigious award is national with only a very few given out each year at the "World of Concrete" in Las Vegas . Chandler Concrete is very proud to be a team player with JMW's winning project.

Brier Creek Office Building

The Brier Creek Office Building in Raleigh is 5 stories structural steel construction with lightweight concrete floors. Shelco, Inc. was general contractor and Pasco Concrete was the concrete contractor. This very beautiful building was another successful job for us partnering with our construction friends - Shelco and Pasco .

P&S Machine

P & S Machine project built by Southside Builders was originally designed for asphalt pavement. Chandler Concrete put together a presentation for the owner and with the help of Southside Builders and the concrete contractor, Triad Construction Services; the pavement was switched to concrete. Concrete is now very competitive upfront with asphalt and when an owner considers same structural value along with maintenance cost over a 20 year period, concrete is 40-50% less expensive. There was a total of 2200 cubic yards of concrete which consisted of 200-400 yard placements.

Project: Alamance Regional Medical Center (ARMC)- Mebane Campus

Finisher: Ace Avant Concrete Construction

The ARMC- Mebane Campus is the first major medical facility in the city of Mebane and the focal point of the Arrowhead Multiuse Development. This project consisted of 2 main pours- slab on grade and an elevated slab on deck. The main pours were approximately 200 yards each. The total project had 600 plus yards.
